The Daily Mail did a story on another Catskill High grad, Mike Gilfeather (aka "Wingin' It"), and his AT hike. Mike is currently on the trail, hiking in honor of a Multiple Sclerosis charity. Mike's mother, Sheila, was diagnosed with the disease years ago.

Mike is about 200 miles ahead of Jeff. He called Jeff, from the trail, about a week before Jeff embarked on his journey.
